Parent Volunteers

Expectations: Our Pack is run by our parents. Every Pack 39 family needs to volunteer to help with one or two of the Pack Events and/or serve in a Pack Leadership position. In addition, each Pack 39 family needs to serve a role in their den, either as den leader, by hosting a den meeting or serving as your den's popcorn or camping coordinator. The best part of all is that this volunteering is easy and fun!

Here are key Pack positions that need to be filled - please notify your den leader or Brian McClure if you can fill one of these positions.

Bridge Point Carnival Setup and Cleanup Coordinator	Needed in March 2008 to coordinate the Pack's support of the Bridge Point Carnival setup and cleanup with the BP Carnival chairperson
Blue and Gold Banquet Coordinator	Needed in January and February to coordinate the Blue and Gold Banquet activities. Key activities include arranging catered meal, design and setup of the room, arranging for entertainment (i.e., magic show) and cleanup.

Here are events that need volunteers - please notify your den leader to volunteer. Most of these involve showing up the day of the event to do your volunteer job.

Popcorn Distribution - November 7, 2008	need one volunteer per den to help break up the popcorn delivery at Camp Mabry out by Packs and into den deliveries. Involves lifting & toting boxes of popcorn.
Air Show - December 4, 2007	need one volunteer per den to run stations
Pinewood Derby - January 27, 2008	need one volunteer per den to run stations
Arrow of Light Ceremony - February 24, 2008	need volunteers (Webelos I Dads and scouts?) to setup the Arrow of Light ceremony, involves building a bridge & setting up pyrotechnics
Blue and Gold Banquet - February 24, 2008	need volunteers (Moms?) to setup for Blue & Gold Banquet, decorate tables, etc.
Bridge Point Carnival Setup and Cleanup - March 29, 2008	need parent volunteers to help with heavy lifting before and after the carnival need scouts to participate in cleanup after the carnival
Raingutter Regatta - May 12, 2008	need one volunteer per den to run stations
