About Us

Cub Scout Pack 39 was chartered originally by Valley View Elementary School, in the Eanes School District west of Austin, Texas in 1995. In 1997, that charter moved to Eanes' newest elementary school, Bridge Point Elementary School.  We presently have about 135 registered Cub Scouts ranging in age from six to eleven, with  boys from 1st  through 5th grades  Most of the boys are enrolled in Bridge Point Elementary School.

A boy can join Cub Scouts at any grade from first to fifth. He will be placed in a den of similar age/grade boys.  Dens are ideally composed of 6 to 8 boys, although the number can vary. Each Den has an adult Leader and an adult Assistant Leader. Leaders are usually a parent of one of the boys in the Den. Anyone meeting the National criteria can be a Leader and the Pack will provide all the training and assistance necessary to help new leaders with their programs.

Pack 39 meets about once a month on Monday evenings from 7-8pm at Bridge Point Elementary school, plus we have additional fun events.  Our calendar can be found by clicking the link in the menu to the left. The dens meet an additional 1 to 2 times a month to work on advancement requirements, crafts, games, skit or program preparation or to take a field trip.

Those boys interested in joining Pack 39 are encouraged to contact the Cubmaster, Robert Gold at (512) 970-3745  cubmaster@pack39.org.  (See Committee page for email and other contact information.)
